Using Windows HyperTerminal to check LUDL and Prior Stages

In Win 2000 or XP (similar for win 3.1, ME, 95)

1. Open HyperTerminal

2. Cancel modem connection wizard and open File > Properties > Connect using...Com 1 (or whatever the connection is to the controller)

3. Click the Settings tab of the Properties window and select ASCII setup.  Select ONLY "Echo typed characters locally" and "wrap lines that exceed terminal length"

4.Configure > 9600 baud, 8 bits data, no parity, 1 stop bits, no flow control

5. Save and close Properties window


To test......

hit return key>>>>coordinates should be displayed ex. 0,0,0,

type g 10000 10000 >>>>stage should move a significant distance


Note: On Prior: If the TX and RX lights blink but the system does not respond there is something wrong with the controller.

jyd,1 and jyd,0 in HyperTerminal change the y direction of the stage.
jxd,1 and jxd,0 are for the x axis
